On December 8th Ben and I both participated in the Anthem Holiday Classic Sprint Triathlon. Ben had not trained a lot due to his back pain, but he was feeling a bit better and was able to do the triathlon.

They had the men race 1st at 9:00.
The swim was 400 m. They had you swim 200, then get out of the pool run back to the start and swim another 200.

Then we had a 12-mile bike ride, that was three 4-mile loops
Then we ran a 3.1 miles

I loved, loved, loved doing this race. It was my first triathlon and I would do another one again in a heartbeat!
My overall time was 1:28:46
Ben's time was 1:40:14
I'm pretty sure the sore back and no training kind of effected Ben's race, but I will admit that I took joy in beating him, mostly since I know it may be the one and only time that it happens.
