That's really bored.

The other day I asked Jared how school was going and he told me that it was good, then he paused and added, "Except for music." So I willingly asked what happened in music. He replied, "Nothing happened Mom, but I was bored out of my soul."

First Day of School

My kids started school this last Monday. Nate started 4th grade, Bonnie started 3rd grade and Jared started Kindergarten.

Gwen was pretty excited to have the stroller all to herself because the older kids all walk. She loves just lounging around on the walk to school.

This is Jared in line with the other kids for his first day of Kindergarten. He loved school and had no problems waving goodbye to Mom.

The Cast

Here is the cast. She chose purple because she is sure Thomas, a boy in her primary class, will freak out if she has a girly color. What else do you need in a cast, but to be able to freak out the boys?

Bonnie's Baptism

Yesterday Bonnie was baptized. We had my parents, my sister Becca and many wonderful friends come to the baptism. We are so grateful and pleased that she has made this decision and decided to become a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It was a wonderful day and we are grateful to everyone who was able to attend and all of those that were not able to attend but that sent your love and were with us in your hearts.

Bonnie's Hand

So yesterday Bonnie was practicing hand stands in the front room, this is a regular occurrence, she wants to be a gymnast, but back to the story. She came from the front room in tears because she had hurt her thumb while doing her hand stand. I got some ice for her and sat her on the couch thinking she would be fine in a few minutes. After 20 minutes of continuous crying I finally decided she was not fine and called the Dr. office. I was on hold for 15 minutes before I could even set up an appointment, at which point they told me to come right down because the x-ray office closed at 5:00 and they wanted to make sure we got in. I called my neighbor (Cadi) and took the other kids there, drove the 20 minutes to our pediatrician, and they did get us right in. Long story short, Bonnie broke her thumb. Thankfully, because she is getting baptized this week, they won't put a cast on it until Monday. Until then we get to keep it iced, and an ace bandage on it. SO MUCH FUN!!

If you look at Bonnie's right thumb you can see how swollen and bruised it is.
