This year Nate, Bonnie, and Jared all decided to run cross country. At each meet Nate ran a mile and a half and Bonnie and Jared both ran a mile. They did so great! Nate's best time this year was 10:38. Bonnie's best time was 9:12. Jared's best time was 7:50.
I just have to brag a little, Jared is in 3rd grade and was supposed to run 3/4 of a mile at each meet, but because he did so well and loved running so much the coach moved him up to run with the 5th and 6th graders.
Bonnie struggled a little and hurt her ankle at the beginning of the season, but at the district-wide final meet she beat her best time by over a minute. She never gave up and just kept running.
Nate worked hard this year and consistently improved throughout the season.
